How To Build The Perfect Feng Shui House
Introduction
We are in the finishing stages of building the perfect Feng Shui house in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. It is our way of showing others how it is possible to build a perfect energetically balanced house using Feng Shui principles that is also super energy efficient. It even won the "Best Of Best" award by the Energy Star folks at Efficiency Vermont for its extraordinary achievement.
It is designed and built in a way that is easily reproducible and affordable to boot! Nothing complicated about this one, but you will need to change your thinking somewhat from the old line builder's thinking. This simple cape design, feels great, is healthy to live in ,especially for environmentally sensitive folks, and it is so energy efficient that on a cold Northern New England afternoon when it is 0 degrees outside, all we need is an hour or so of sun and the house will stay warm well into the evening time. If you can believe, we only used 1 ˝ cords of wood this past winter to heat the entire house comfortably (most Vermonters require at least 6 cords and some as high as 20 cords). We would prefer to use our 92% efficient Munchkin Gas Boiler but the system is not yet completed for the main floor and second floor baseboards. If we have to, the boiler can heat the radiant heat in the basement slab and then amazingly it can heat the entire house just from the basement.
